My Story
I have been a Registered Practical Nurse since 2012. After I graduated, I followed my passion into Maternal Newborn Nursing. I worked on Postpartum and Paediatrics for the majority of my career. In 2018 I welcomed my first baby, after this, I realized how important it was for new mother's to have access to community support when experiencing feeding challenges. I wrote the IBCLC board exam in 2019, and officially became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. Since becoming an IBCLC I spend my time supporting breastfeeding mothers from pregnancy, through to weaning, as well as instructing breastfeeding classes for The Baby Academy. I also have additional training in Oral Habilitation, so I often include infant oral exercises are implemented as part of my care plan to help improve oral function . I recognize the importance of being in your own environment while resting, recovering, and adjusting to motherhood; which is why I don't have an office, I provide consultations from the comfort of your home.
